Primary Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Our St. Luke's Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke's Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support;
cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke's holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program's commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.
We are seeking a Primary Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Cancer Institute Clinical Oncology team in Nampa.
Position Details:
- Full-time (0.9 or 1.0 FTE): day shift - no nights, weekends, or St. Luke's observed holidays
- Schedule:
- Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!
- Certification pay available (ex. OCN)
- The Primary RN will support the new Benign Heme provider
- Evaluate patients and assist the physician with patient care, chemotherapy management, procedures, and care coordination
- Collaborate and work closely with an interdisciplinary team of providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other disciplines in order to provide excellent patient care
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatments and management
- Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and lab results, to develop and implement care plans
- In basket support: manage and respond to patient messages, lab results, medication refill requests, and provider communications through the electronic health record (EHR) in basket system, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up
Qualifications:

Nursing Degree - Experience:
One (1) + years' RN experience - Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Preferred:
Oncology experience, OCN certification and/or strong assessment skills
