Locum PRN Nurse Practitioner (Contract/1099/Independent Contractor)

Contract PRN NP needed for ongoing coverage at a campus-based student services medical clinic serving the youth of the Centennial Job Corps—a residential career education program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps adolescents improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. Coverage is for one day per week on an ongoing basis as soon as possible.

The hours at the clinic fall between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Flexible scheduling. Excellent hourly contract compensation. Professional liability insurance provided.

Students seen at the clinic range in age from 16‑24. The clinic is not open to the public.

• Provide physical exams, sick visits, and minor acute care.
• Manage hypertension, diabetes, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, ADHD, birth control, minor sports injuries, and allergies.
• Collaborate with center’s medical staff, mental health staff, and substance abuse specialists as necessary.

• Active and unrestricted state medical license in Idaho.
• Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients, including performing medical procedures and prescribing medications.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work 9.6 hours per week as needed.
• Able to start week as soon as possible.
• Prior experience as a locum NP is a plus.
• Valid Federal DEA license.
