Registered Nurse Clinical Support Team; Float Pool

12 Hour Night Shift Hours: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm for nights

We are looking to hire a Full‑Time Registered Nurse for our Clinical Support Team (Float Pool)  RN will provide hands‑on patient care while collaborating with colleagues, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing resources wisely.

The Clinical Support Team (Float Pool) cares for patients in the general departments of medical/surgical, ortho, neuro, post‑partum, and telemetry. RNs will float to other Saint Alphonsus locations and possibly to the Emergency Department and Step Down Units.

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
• Ensure accurate documentation of services and supplies provided to patients.
• Comply with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Perform and document comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Educate patients based on assessment of needs and develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care based on patient needs.
• Communicate patient’s current status and plan of care to other caregivers verbally and in writing.
• Prepare, administer, and evaluate the effectiveness of medications.
• Demonstrate safe operation of patient care equipment.
• Establish therapeutic and professional boundaries.
• Integrate knowledge, experience, professional standards, and hospital policies into nursing practice.
• Meet unit specific technical skills.
• Practice with the rules and regulations defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Idaho.
• Multistate license must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (BLS/HCP) certification at date of hire.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for Health Care Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
