Position: Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,650 per week

Overview

Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for Nampa, Idaho.

Start date:

08/10/2026. 13‑week contract, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Travel position with a 50‑mile radius rule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide labor and delivery care with at least 3 years of L&D experience; mother‑baby and newborn care.
  • Attend deliveries, complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, circulate C‑sections, and deliver postpartum couplet care (1:3 ratio).
  • Manage magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin drips, and other titratable protocols.
  • Support as charge nurse preferred;
    Admin Supervisor leads each shift.
  • Engage in resource and triage RN duties, including stabilization of newborns and 2nd sign‑off on medications.
  • Collaborate with OB/Neonatologist, Anesthesia, and RT staff.
  • Float to St. Lukes Treasure Valley sites (Meridian, Nampa, Boise) in L&D or as sitter.
  • Complete unit‑specific orientation: 4 shifts covering C/S, labor, and postpartum.
  • Adhere to AWHONN staffing standards: 1:1 labor (unless pairing 2 cervical‑ripening patients), postpartum 1:3; triage 1:3; use resource nurse if >4 pts.
  • Maintain inventory of medication and equipment; use EFM system (Centricity).
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with specialty in Labor and Delivery
    .
  • Minimum 3 years L&D experience, 1 year in a related role.
  • Valid certifications: NPR, BLS, ACLS, STABLE.
  • Experience with magnesium, Pitocin, insulin drips, postpartum and newborn care.
  • Charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Must be able to attend deliveries, complete newborn care within 1 hour, perform triage, and provide circulation care.
  • Pass the 50‑mile radius rule; provide permanent address to confirm location.
  • Must not work with placenta previa or accreta.
