Cna​/Nursing Assistant​/Nurse Apprentice-Ortho Med Surg

Position Overview

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice for the Ortho Med/Surg unit. The unit is a 36‑bed acute care area that treats patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs, including wound care and minor trauma.

Three 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. The role requires flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination duties.
• Provide nursing care services and related non‑professional services necessary to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho; or a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing; or completion of the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network; or current ACLS/PALS certification as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Preferred: six months of CNA experience in an acute care setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric as applicable).
