OverviewThis 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse who is confident in labor support, triage, circulating C-sections, postpartum couplet care, and newborn stabilization. The unit serves a diverse patient population and values compassionate, high-quality maternity care in a collaborative environment.

- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; weekends as needed; first to float
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,580 - $2,720
- Charting System: EPIC
- Orientation: 4 unit-specific shifts
- Openings: 3
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Mother-baby experience preferred; at least 1 year preferred
- Experience with labor, triage, circulating C-sections, postpartum couplet care, and 1-hour newborn care
- Experience with magnesium therapy required
- Ability to titrate drips, including Pitocin, magnesium, and occasional insulin infusions
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Ability to float within primary skill set as needed
- Must be comfortable working with a diverse patient population
- Provide high-quality nursing care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and triage patients
- Monitor and support patients according to AWHONN staffing standards
- Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn support and stabilization
- Circulate and recover C-sections as needed
- Deliver safe postpartum couplet care and support family-centered maternity care
- Manage and titrate ordered drips in accordance with unit protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the care team to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Adapt quickly to changing patient needs and assist with floating across related women’s services areas
