Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The role involves monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, administering medications, and assisting with delivery procedures to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer prescribed medications and analgesics as needed.
• Assist physicians or midwives during delivery procedures.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn management.
• Document patient care and concern in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
