QC Checker

Shift: 6:15 pm-5:30 am

Location: Nampa,

• Perform quality checks for string, fresh mozzarella, shred, sticks, and mozzarella departments, including metal detector checks, leaker checks, weight checks, analytical checks, and other checks to verify product conforms to the product specification.
• When a quality check result does not confirm to requirements, perform necessary rechecks to confirm non-conformance.
• Assist with initiating the hold procedure to control non-conforming product at the time of packaging.
• Pull samples from the line per sampling plan for each area to submit for microbiology, chemistry, sensory, shelf life, and/or pathogen analysis.
• Complete screen sort checks as defined in sorting procedure and properly tag product needing additional action to bring to conformance; notify QA Clerk/supervisor/manager of major defects or patterns of defects in a timely manner.
• Document all quality checks accurately and in a timely manner, including explanation of corrective action taken for any non-conforming quality checks.
• Perform additional tasks such as pulling air samples, hand swabs, and maintenance of the shelf‑life library.
• Assist with audits and sensory analysis.

Education

• High School Diploma preferred;
  Associate's Degree a plus.

Experience

• Experience in food manufacturing and USDA preferred.

Specialized Knowledge

• Ability to analyze, read/draft reports, manuals, and procedures.

Skills / Abilities

• Data entry and strong problem solving.
• Policy enforcement.
• Basic math skills (ability to calculate averages).
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
