Crop Advisor – Lead Growth with Progressive, High-Value Growers

This role is designed for a competitive, results‑driven professional who thrives in the field, enjoys building relationships with growers, and takes pride in winning business.

About Land View, Inc.

Land View, Inc. is a leading distributor of production agricultural products with locations across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, committed to helping growers become more productive, competitive, and profitable. The team is composed of innovators and solution providers who value initiative, decisive action, and meaningful, long‑term grower relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow a high‑value territory of progressive growers focused on high value crops in the Treasure Valley.
  • Lead the sales process for fertilizer, crop protection, seed, and related solutions, from initial contact through ongoing service and retention.
  • Regularly scout fields, identify opportunities and issues early, and provide clear, actionable recommendations on crop nutrition, protection, and seed decisions.
  • Design and execute a territory plan that drives profitable growth and margin performance, effectively deploying Land View resources to achieve objectives.
  • Respond rapidly to grower needs, remove obstacles, and keep initiatives moving forward without waiting for direction.
Working Style and Fit
  • You prefer to set the pace rather than wait for it, make decisions with the best available information, and adjust quickly as conditions change.
  • You gain energy from time with growers—listening, questioning, persuading, negotiating, and closing—especially with independent, progressive operators.
  • You are most effective in an environment with variety, urgency, and visible results rather than heavy routine and excessive paperwork.
  • You respect data, compliance, and process, but you prioritize clarity, action, and outcomes over analysis for its own sake.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in, or strong working knowledge of, production agriculture and crop inputs (fertilizer, crop protection, and seed).
  • Demonstrated success in outside or territory sales, including building, managing, and retaining a book of business.
  • Solid agronomic foundation and the ability to convert technical knowledge into practical, profitable recommendations for progressive growers in high value crops.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge existing programs when a better solution is available.
  • Valid driver’s license and strong preference for spending the majority of time in the field rather than in the office.

If this describes how you work and where you do your best work, this role offers the autonomy, pace, and upside you are looking for.
