Full‑time Industrial Electrical Apprenticeship Opportunity. Amalgamated Sugar Company is hiring Apprentice Electricians in Nampa, Idaho. This position is ideal for candidates in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an Idaho‑approved electrical apprenticeship program. Gain hands‑on industrial experience with complex electrical systems in a sugar beet processing facility while completing your apprenticeship toward becoming a Journeyman Electrician.

- 2nd-year apprentice: $27.53 per hour
- 3rd-year apprentice: $29.62 per hour
- 4th-year apprentice: $38.28 per hour
- Eligible after 30 days of employment
- $0 premium health care plan (low‑deductible Blue Cross coverage)
- $800 yearly perfect attendance bonus (paid quarterly at $200)
- $175 yearly boot allowance
- $250 yearly prescription safety glasses allowance

- Follow all safety protocols, electrical codes, and regulations
- Perform basic electrical calculations, measurements, and troubleshooting
- Work under a Journeyman Electrician to learn industrial electrical systems
- Identify, analyze, and assist in repairing electrical faults and equipment
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Assist with electrical installations, maintenance, and parts ordering
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and crew in a cooperative environment
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and take direction respectfully
- Other duties as assigned
- Currently enrolled in an Idaho‑approved electrical apprenticeship program through a local college
- Minimum 1 year of school and work experience as an apprentice electrician
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical codes/systems (gained through apprenticeship years 1–4)
- Understanding of low‑voltage and high‑voltage systems
- Basic mechanical skills: operating power tools, reading tape measures, using hand tools, familiarity with electrical meters
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities calmly and meet deadlines
- Pride in work quality, professionalism, and accountability
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team setting
