We’re hiring a Human Services Supervisor to support and lead staff working directly with youth in foster care. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in residential care or youth services and is ready to step into a leadership position where they can shape team performance, support staff development, and help maintain a safe, structured environment for youth with complex needs.

You’ll oversee daily operations on the unit, guide direct care staff, and play a key role in treatment programming, while also remaining hands-on when needed to support safety and behavioral interventions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervise and support direct care staff working with youth in a residential setting
  • Facilitate and oversee treatment groups and daily programming
  • Develop and implement unit plans to maintain structure, consistency, and quality of care
  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and identify training needs
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of reports, documentation, and service delivery
  • Assist with case prioritization and support overall program operations
  • Step in to provide direct support to youth when needed, including behavioral intervention for safety
  • Partner with internal teams and external organizations to support client needs and build community resources

What makes this role stand out:

  • Clear path into supervision and leadership within human services
  • Hands-on management role where you can directly impact both staff and youth outcomes
  • Opportunity to build and improve programs, not just maintain them
  • Strong exposure to treatment planning, staff development, and community partnerships

What we’re looking for:

  • Background working with youth in residential care, foster care, or similar environments
  • Ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountable while maintaining a supportive team environment
  • Comfortable managing challenging behaviors and maintaining safety in a structured setting
  • Organized, proactive, and able to balance leadership with hands-on support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience in a children’s residential care facility
  • OR Associate’s degree + 2 years of experience in a children’s residential care facility
  • OR 3 years of experience in a children’s residential care facility

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
