Driver Position
The driver is responsible for transporting finished product to the customer. Essential functions include observance of all safety rules and policies, preparation of finished product for transportation, delivery of finished windows to customer, unloading of finished windows, coordination of necessary paperwork, receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods, rotation into production team structure, assistance in repair work, maintenance of good housekeeping practices, and working as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals.
Competencies include clear verbal and written communication skills, ability to read and process written communication, meeting production goals and time deadlines, working with minimum supervision, demonstrating competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities, welding competency and knowledge of welding systems, rotating to other production positions, operating a Lift Truck or Tractor, problem solving skills, tact and diplomacy, working under physically and mentally stressful situations, and prioritizing and adapting to changes.
Qualifications include a Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available) and no supervisory responsibility upon hiring. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting and moving items over 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities. Protective equipment supplied by the company includes coating suit, coating boots, spray socks, respirator, work gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional protective equipment.
This is a full-time position with local travel. Work authorization/security clearance is required to work in the United States.
