Bus Driver

We are looking for a reliable and responsible individual to fill part-time, with a guarantee of 6 hours per day/4 days a week, Bus Driver positions at Gooding District Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and other related activities. Bus route drivers will be eligible for the PERSI retirement program. Activity Drivers will be paid $15/hour from the time they leave the bus barn until the time they return.

• Operate and drive a school bus safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained bus
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers
• Follow assigned routes and schedules
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
• Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required

• Valid CDL driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility in work schedule
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Physical ability to operate a school bus and assist passengers as needed
