Nanaimo Facilities Project Coordinator

Join the Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools as a Facilities Project Coordinator. This full-time position involves comprehensive project management for capital construction, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely execution.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Capital Projects Coordinator will manage various construction projects crucial to the organization's goals. You will coordinate communications between stakeholders, monitor financial transactions, and oversee contract compliance.

Your role will contribute significantly to creating a positive learning environment for over 15,000 students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and approve construction project compliance

• Coordinate and advise committees on planning and design

• Liaise with architects for project execution

• Ensure accurate financial documentation and records

• Prepare and present reports to administrative committees

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent background

• Technologist or Technician certification with relevant experience

• Minimum of five years in construction and three in project management

• Proficient computer skills, especially with MS Office

• Valid BC driver's license needed
