Finance Specialist: Operations Accountant

Mosaic is looking for an Operations Accountant in Nanaimo, B.C. to manage financial records and reporting while supporting effective operational decisions. Join a company focused on sustainable land management.

As an Operations Accountant, you will report to the Operations Accounting Manager and play a critical role in maintaining financial system integrity and supporting contractor settlements. Your responsibilities include financial analysis, month-end reporting, and tracking improvements for operational finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records' accuracy and effectiveness

• Develop enhanced reporting and data analysis workflows

• Prepare and analyze month-end transactions and reconciliations

• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts

• Collaborate with Operations Administrators for contract processing

Requirements:

• Familiarity with financial reporting tools and systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• CPA designation is a plus
