CFO Forest Products

Lead financial strategy and operations as the Chief Financial Officer at Nanaimo Forest Products Ltd. in British Columbia. This hands-on role focuses on financial stewardship, operational effectiveness, and renewable energy initiatives.

Reporting directly to the General Manager & CEO, the CFO is a critical member of the executive team at Nanaimo Forest Products. This position offers leadership across financial planning, capital allocation, and operational decision-making. The role also includes navigating a capital-intensive commodity business and supporting strategic growth in energy generation and real estate development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise the executive team on financial performance and risks

• Lead financial operations including accounting and compliance

• Foster relationships with lenders and funding bodies

• Partner with operations to evaluate contract negotiations

• Ensure effective risk management strategies are in place

Requirements:

• CPA designation and Bachelor's in finance or accounting

• Over 10 years of senior financial leadership experience

• Strong background in capital-intensive industries

• Proven experience with energy and project financing

• Exposure to Board dynamics and multi-shareholder environments
