The Opportunity
Real Estate Webmasters (REW) is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Finance Team Lead to serve as our financial operations expert. We are moving past the status quo; we need a leader who can bridge the gap between forward-thinking strategy and disciplined operational execution.
If you are a proactive builder who thrives on clarity, multi-entity portfolio management, and modern process optimization, you will find a highly rewarding challenge here.
Our Core Values
At REW, we live and breathe these values. We expect everyone on the team to embody them every day:
- Innovation:
Staying curious, open-minded, and always looking for ways to do things more efficiently. - Customer Success:
Caring deeply about delivering great service to both internal and external clients. - Always be Awesome:
Remaining positive and helpful even when days are tough; supporting colleagues in a way that elevates the team.
What You'll Do
- Financial Stewardship & Budget Ownership:
Own and drive the annual budgeting process from end to end. You will collaborate with department leaders to define budgeting workflows, establish approval processes, and provide clear monthly reporting on budget variance (used vs. left). You will also facilitate cash flow management and monthly financial statements. - Operational Excellence:
Facilitate daily financial operations, including vendor tracking, customer billing, and compliance, while ensuring we are maximizing our financial software stack. - Process Innovation:
Review existing agreements and workflows to identify efficiencies. You will look for opportunities to modernize our processes, including the implementation of AI and automation where it makes sense and is compliant for the business. - Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide the guidance and encouragement necessary to our existing high-performing team. You will be responsible for mentoring the team, fostering a culture of accountability, and building morale. - Strategic Resourcing:
Manage payments for new sales contracts and IDX, ensuring accounts remain up to date. You will collaborate closely with Account Management and our Agency team to ensure our data feeds and documentation processes are seamless.
Who You Are
- The Designation:
You hold an active CPA or CGA designation with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4+ years managing or mentoring financial staff. - Multi-Entity Fluent:
You have a deep understanding of GAAP, intercompany accounting, structural consolidations, and commercial lease dynamics. Exposure to US tax frameworks or cross-border compliance is a strong asset. - The Right Fit:
You possess a "no ego" attitude and a team player mindset. You lead through encouragement rather than command and control, and you genuinely enjoy helping your colleagues succeed and building team morale. You are ready to step into a leadership role where you can still be involved in and energized by the day-to-day work. - Tech-Forward:
You are comfortable working in Google Suite and a Mac environment. You adapt to new software quickly and are always looking for ways to use technology to improve accuracy and save time. - Learning & Development Mindset:
You come in with an open mind and are excited to learn new ways of doing things. You encourage and invite conversation and feedback and are open to new ideas. - Analytical & Concise:
You can take complex data…
