Position: Event Banquet Server Hiring at VIU
Enhance your hospitality career as a Banquet Server with Vancouver Island University. You'll play a vital role in event delivery through food service, setup, and customer interaction at various functions.

As a Banquet Server, you'll report to the Catering Services Coordinator and engage actively in catering operations. Your duties will include organizing banquet stations, serving attendees, and maintaining cleanliness while adhering to safety standards. This physically demanding role requires flexibility for evening and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in event setups and take-downs

• Transport catering supplies between locations

• Provide full food and beverage service

• Support bar service when assigned

• Help with cleaning and organizing service areas

Requirements:

• Must have completed Grade 10

• Hold a Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certification

• A minimum of 3 months in a customer-facing role

• Ability to lift approximately 20 kg safely

• Availability during evenings and weekends
