Manager Accounting Services at RDN

Join the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) as the Manager of Accounting Services and lead a dynamic finance team. This permanent full-time role focuses on enhancing internal controls and financial processes.

As part of the Finance Department at the RDN Administration Building, you will be responsible for accounts payable, receivable, utility billing, and more. With a CPA designation and relevant supervisory experience, you will oversee a team dedicated to improving workflow efficiencies. This position offers a unique blend of leadership and operational responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and direct accounts receivable and payable functions

• Implement internal controls to enhance efficiency

• Manage utility billing and cash receipting operations

• Supervise property and liability insurance management

• Streamline processes to reduce workflow times

Requirements:

• CPA designation required upon hire

• Minimum six years of finance experience necessary

• At least three years in a supervisory role

• Good standing membership with CPA British Columbia preferred

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be acceptable
