Become a Communications Intern with Island Crisis Care Society in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. Focus on enhancing fundraising campaigns and amplifying our social media presence to support those in need.
As the Resource Development Intern, you'll assist in developing effective communication strategies under the supervision of the Resource Development Manager. Key tasks include crafting engaging content for donors and community partners, researching vital social issues, and creating promotional materials. Your contributions will directly support our mission and outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop targeted email communications for fundraising initiatives
• Conduct important research on homelessness and mental health
• Create eye-catching social media posts and event materials
• Perform database management and entry tasks
• Participate in local engagement opportunities and events
Requirements:
• Aged 15-30 years at the start of employment
• Must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Citizenship or permanent residency in Canada is required
• Experience with design software such as Canva
• Strong communication abilities, both written and oral
