As the Community Language Coordinator, you will foster language revitalization and strengthen community ties. This role focuses on supporting the Ministry’s grant programs dedicated to Michif cultural preservation. Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, you’ll coordinate grant cycles, develop resources, and facilitate professional learning while ensuring compliance and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate implementation of language initiatives and grants
• Assist in developing community language resources
• Manage language grant cycles and budgets
• Support applicants with technical and administrative tasks
• Build strong relationships with Métis communities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, or related field
• Minimum three years of project coordination experience
• Familiarity with Michif and Métis culture
• Strong skills in writing grant proposals
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects
Support the revitalization of Michif language and culture through dedicated program coordination.
