Position: Outside Buyer for Scrap Metals

Enhance your sales career as an Outside Buyer with Radius Recycling, specializing in both Ferrous and Non-Ferrous scrap metals. This outside sales role focuses on forging supplier relationships and maximizing profit.

As a key player in Radius Recycling's sales team, you will report to the Regional Accounts Manager and actively engage with suppliers in your defined geographic area.

Your role requires excellent external sales experience and the ability to identify and capitalize on new scrap purchasing opportunities while developing lasting partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate purchases of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals

• Build and negotiate supplier contracts and prices

• Educate suppliers on scrap quality and acceptance

• Communicate daily with suppliers both in person and by phone

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for strategy implementation

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of industry sales experience

• 5-10 years as a metal buyer in scrap industry preferred

• Knowledge of transportation and processing costs

• Valid driver's license for regional travel

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or business preferred
