Scrap Metal Outside Buyer at Radius Recycling

Drive sales as an Outside Buyer for Radius Recycling, specializing in scrap metals. Build supplier relationships and enhance purchasing strategies in this dynamic role.

In this position, you'll report to the Regional Accounts Manager while managing a book of scrap metal purchases. Your expertise in external sales and account management will be critical as you engage with various suppliers, including industrial manufacturers and demolition contractors. Knowledge of metal grades will be vital for assessing value and negotiating deals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate purchases by visiting suppliers in the region

• Maintain and expand supplier relationships

• Prepare bids and manage pricing strategies

• Analyze current market conditions guiding purchase decisions

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations in all transactions

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of relevant industry sales experience

• Prior experience in metal buying essential

• Must possess a valid driver’s license

• Knowledge of operational costs in scrap handling

• Strong analytical skills for pricing assessments
