Step into the role of Junior Aquatic Biologist at Tetra Tech in Nanaimo, BC. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in environmental monitoring and ecological assessments.
In this role, you'll focus on conducting water quality analysis, performing aquatic habitat assessments, and assisting in sediment control projects. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct water and soil sampling following provincial guidelines
• Assist in post-construction environmental assessments
• Collaborate with project managers on data quality
• Perform equipment calibration and maintenance
• Prepare technical reports based on field data
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. or Technical Diploma in biology or ecology
• Experience in aquatic surveys and environmental science
• Knowledge of BC environmental regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
