Join SLR as a Geochemist specializing in Acid Rock Drainage and Metal Leaching in Canada, Australia, and Chile. Collaborate with experts while contributing to vital environmental projects.
This full-time, permanent role at SLR requires a minimum of five years of geochemistry experience, particularly in mining consulting. You will work closely with other geochemists and scientists to analyze geochemical data and support model development. Your expertise will also be directed towards preparing detailed technical reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret geochemical and mineralogical data
• Collaborate on contaminant load balance models
• Prepare technical reports on methodology and results
• Plan and implement projects including QA/QC
• Present results in tabular and graphical formats
Requirements:
• Five years of experience as a Geochemist
• Professional registration (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) required
• Master’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of mining regulations in Canada
• Valid driver’s license and ability for short-term travel
