Carpenters - $36.60/hr - Nanaimo, BC

Western Island Developments Ltd. is seeking experienced carpenters for full-time, permanent positions in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Carpenters will work on a variety of projects, including residential and industrial structures, and will be responsible for both new construction and renovations. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople looking to join a reputable company and work on diverse building projects.

• $36.60 per hour for 40 hours per week
• Full-time, permanent employment
• On-site work only
• Potential for paid training and skill development

• No degree, certificate or diploma required
• 2 years to less than 3 years of carpentry experience
• Ability to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials
• Experience building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
• Ability to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Supervisory skills to oversee other workers
• Ability to estimate costs and materials
• Experience maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments
