Mechanic - Commercial Transport

GFL Environmental is looking for an experienced Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team in Kamloops, British Columbia! The GFL maintenance department is responsible for over 150 on-road collection and support vehicles in and around the Victoria area. Our units are diverse and complex and we pride ourselves on completing the majority of repairs in-house. Along with your current Red Seal Certification, GFL will provide you with a BC Provincial CVI certification and certifications in CNG fuel systems and safety.

Safely repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.

• Assist Shop Lead Hands in training and growing our apprentice base.

• Complete thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance forms.

• Keep accurate work notes and complete work orders on time in the Fleet Management Software system.

• Takes direction and communicates well with shift Supervisor or Lead Hand

• Red Seal Certification or equivalent qualification in Commercial Transport Mechanics

• Cummins Insite, Mack Tech Tool, Allison DOC and Isuzu IDSS software Experience
