Reports to: Sports and Wellness Coordinator
Terms of Employment: This is a part‑time, hourly position (September 2025 through May 2026). The hourly rate is $27–$32, commensurate with experience.
Job Summary: Dance instructors are responsible for the planning and teaching of after school or weekend dance classes for children ages 3.5 and up. Classes are created based on instructor input and dance style. Dance instructors are also required to take part in the NCS dance recital in early May.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Associate degree or higher in a related field (e.g., education, performing arts, etc.) is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience as a lead dance instructor is preferred, but not required.
- Certified in CPR & first aid, or willing to be certified.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to converse with members of the public pleasantly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
