Special Education Teacher - Nantucket, Massachusetts

• Current Special Education Teacher certification in Massachusetts
• Experience with preschool or early childhood special education preferred
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to develop effective IEPs and communicate with families
• Excellent collaboration skills with related service providers, staff, and parents

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for children ages 3-5
• Adapt curriculum and modify class activities to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Track student progress, maintain documentation, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Foster an engaging, inclusive classroom promoting growth in social, emotional, and academic skills
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and allied staff
• Engage regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and needs
