Brant Point Building ("BPB") is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Nantucket-based team in person. This role will be responsible for maintaining the books and records of the company, owning the billing and invoicing process, and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, operationally minded, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves, while also capable of supporting higher-level financial analysis and reporting.

- Own the company's general ledger, books, and records
- Ensure accurate month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting discipline as the business scales
- Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed
- Fully own the billing and invoicing process across service lines
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of client invoices
- Track collections, resolve billing issues, and support cash-flow management
- Improve billing processes and systems as complexity increases
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P'L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Assist in building monthly management and investor reporting packages
- Lead budgeting and forecasting and perform variance analysis
- Assist with financial modeling related to growth initiatives, pricing, and capacity planning
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making
- Help professionalize finance operations as the company grows
- Identify and implement process, system, and reporting improvements
- Collaborate closely with operations to ensure financial data aligns with on-the-ground activity
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced credentials such as CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
- 5–7+ years of experience in accounting, including controller-level experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and hands-on accounting experience
- Experience owning billing/invoicing processes (service-based businesses a plus)
- FP&A exposure; comfortable with budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting software (Quick Books Online or similar)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Must be based on Nantucket (at least 3 days per week) and work in person with the team
