Housekeeping Manager – The Wauwinet, Nantucket, MA.

The Wauwinet is a seaside refuge with breathtaking views, historic architecture and luxury amenities.

Oversee all housekeeping operations for The Wauwinet, managing, training and supervising all housekeepers, housekeeping supervisors and housemen.

This is a year‑round position for benefits purposes working 10 months of the year (March 1–December 31). The position begins March 1, 2026.

Applicants should work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible with schedule, self‑motivated and have a great sense of humor. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office is essential.

• Minimum 2 years in a high‑volume housekeeping operation.
• Management/supervisory experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Relocation to Nantucket is required.
• Ability to manage day‑to‑day operation of a busy housekeeping department in a luxury setting and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Interact with employees and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all housekeeping personnel.
• Manage daily payroll of the housekeeping department.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.
• Maintain routine inventory controls and manage purchasing as required.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards for all employees and guests.
