About This Role

The RN, Infusion at Nantucket Cottage Hospital is responsible for coordinating patient care and collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality outpatient infusion therapy. This role is ideal for experienced clinical Registered Nurses who are passionate about patient advocacy and care.

• Location: Nantucket, MA
• Facility: Nantucket Cottage Hospital
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Pay: $37.69 - $89.59/Hourly

• Collect pertinent objective and subjective data regarding patient health status.
• Communicate assessment data with healthcare team members in a timely manner.
• Determine nursing diagnoses and potential problem statements from assessment data.
• Develop individualized nursing diagnoses that are appropriate to the patient.
• Initiate patient plan of care using assessment data upon admission.
• Implement discharge plans and make appropriate referrals to other healthcare services.
• Evaluate nursing interventions based on patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed.
• Administer medications safely and document according to established protocols.
• Maintain order of the department by ensuring adequate stock of supplies.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and professional growth.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school required;
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

• 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical setting required.

• Current valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Current chemotherapy/biotherapy card required within 3 months of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire.
