Palliative Care Nurse Specialist - Nantucket

About This Role

The Palliative Care Nurse Specialist is responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical management for patients and families, working collaboratively to ensure comprehensive palliative care across various settings.

• Pay: $73,881.60 - $/Annual
• Location: Nantucket, MA
• Facility: Nantucket Cottage Hospital
• Schedule: Part-Time, Day shift

• Organize, develop, plan, implement, and evaluate Palliative & Supportive Care Program goals and policies.
• Provide high quality direct patient care, including education and counseling.
• Perform and record patient history and physical exams.
• Manage patients in collaboration with the NP manager and physician.
• Oversee and assure completion of specialized procedures with collaborating physician.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience:

• 2-3 years in nursing required; 2-3 years in hospice and palliative nursing care preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current MA RN license required
