The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to retail operations, team development, and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities Store Operations
  • Open and close the store following company procedures
  • Ensure store security, cash handling accuracy, and operational compliance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a welcoming store environment
  • Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally
  • Lead by example in providing personalized service and building customer relationships
  • Supervise and support sales associates during shifts
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist in creating schedules to meet business needs
Training & Development
  • Train new and existing sales associates on customer service standards, store policies, and product knowledge
  • Coach team members to achieve individual and store sales goals
  • Support ongoing development to build a high-performing sales team
  • Assist in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Motivate the team to drive sales and meet KPIs
  • Monitor sales trends and suggest strategies to improve performance
  • Oversee online order fulfillment processes
  • Pick, pack, and prepare online orders accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate and ship outgoing orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of shipments
Inventory & Shipments
  • Receive and process incoming shipments
  • Verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies
  • Assist with stock replenishment and organization of backroom inventory
  • Assist with visual merchandising execution
  • Support the creation and maintenance of window displays
  • Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with brand standards
Product Knowledge
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all products and collections
  • Educate team members and customers on product features and benefits
  • Stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal trends
Qualifications
  • Previous retail supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills
