TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
:
Part‑time, up to 5 hours per week; schedule varies based on class times and pool programming needs (typically mornings and/or evenings). The starting rate is $35‑45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
JOB SUMMARY: The Nantucket Community School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced substitute aquacise instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective water‑fitness classes at the Nantucket Community Pool on an as‑needed basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, skilled at motivating participants of all fitness levels, and committed to creating a positive, inclusive aquatic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certification in group fitness instruction, aquatic fitness, or a related discipline (e.g., AEA, ACE, AFAA, YMCA, or similar).
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
- Prior experience teaching water fitness or group exercise classes preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and connect with participants.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to providing exceptional community service.
