Napa County is recruiting to establish an Eligibility List for the position of Office Assistant II. The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full‑time, part‑time, limited‑term and extra‑help vacancies. The list established from this recruitment process will be abolished in approximately three months from the eligibility establishment date. If you were not successful in this recruitment, please apply again in the future to ensure you are on the latest list for consideration.
This list will replace any previously established lists.
- One year of directly related general clerical experience.
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by general clerical training.
- Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as some vacancies may have a bilingual Spanish requirement.
Recruitment Process- Final date to receive applications – 5:00pm PDT, Friday, March 6, 2026
- Minimum Qualification Screening – Candidates will be screened for minimum qualifications the week of March 9, 2026.
- Written Exam – Tentatively by the week of March 23, 2026. Only the most qualified applications from the scoring of the written exam will move forward.
- Establish Eligible List – Tentatively by the week of March 30, 2026. Candidates who are successful at passing the written exam will be placed on the eligibility list and may be considered for current and future vacancies up to three months from the eligibility list establishment date.
The Human Resources Department reserves the right to change the recruitment process at any time.
