This is an internal promotional recruitment, only open to City of Napa full-time classified employees. Do you enjoy turning complex purchasing rules into clear, workable solutions? If so, the City of Napa invites you to consider joining our team as a service-driven Management Analyst supporting citywide procurement operations!

This role provides analytical and technical support for purchasing activities, serving as a key resource for city departments throughout the procurement process. Responsibilities include reviewing and administering bids, RFQs, and RFPs; analyzing purchasing requests for compliance; processing purchase orders, contracts, and amendments; and resolving procurement issues through effective collaboration with departments and vendors. The ideal candidate has strong procurement knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving efficiency and customer service.

Experience with Tyler Munis ERP and Open Gov Procurement and Contract Management is highly desirable.

  • Collaborating - Working in coordination with others to help a team or work group achieve its goals.
  • Project Management - Designs, implements and manages ongoing projects and provides related resources, personnel and activities to successful completion.
Recruitment Details

This recruitment and examination is being conducted to fill one (1) full-time vacancy and may be used to fill future full-time vacancies as they occur during the active status of the employment list. The active status of this employment list will be at least 6 months unless abolished sooner or extended beyond that date in accordance with the Civil Service Rules.

Positions in this classification are flexibly staffed. This position may be appointed at the I or II level depending upon qualifications and experience.
