The Concierge at Clos du Val will create an exceptional and welcoming experience for every guest that visits the winery. By providing personalized service, sharing knowledge of the winery’s offerings, and ensuring smooth guest interactions, the Concierge plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering positive relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the winery. Team oriented, high energy, verbally proficient, efficient, and "can do" attitude are some of the expected attributes.
This is a full-time position, scheduled Thursday
- Sunday.
- Assist guests with booking experiences, tastings, or events.
- Assist with general administrative duties, such as answering phones, maintaining guest logs, and updating the winery database.
- Inform guests of available services, such as private tastings, wine purchases, and special events.
- Handle any special requests or needs, including dietary preferences, accessibility, and customizations.
- Support the team with hosting by-the-glass guests in the Garden.
- Collaborate with the tasting room staff and management to ensure smooth guest experiences.
- Manages check-ins/reservations for groups and special events.
- Monitor and update the reservation system, ensuring accurate guest information.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Offer alternative solutions if necessary to resolve issues or enhance the experience.
- Assist with the check-out process and complete wine sales and club sign-ups.
- Ensure that the entrance area and tasting areas are clean, organized, and inviting.
- Monitor the winery's appearance and address any issues to maintain a welcoming environment.

- Minimum of 1 year experience in restaurants, wineries or hotels.
- Understanding of wine; WSET II certification (or equiv.) strongly preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Wine Direct & TOCK and similar POS systems preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
- Extraordinary guest service and a relationship-driven approach with guests.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as well as stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours a day.
