This is a permanent, full-time position that requires onsite work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial analysis, cost accounting, general ledger, insurance renewals, production costs, and federal and state excise taxes across multiple entities.
Responsibilities- Oversee accounting operations of various entities, specifically their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Conduct complex financial analysis to highlight key business issues, performance indicators, and decision points.
- Handle insurance renewals and manage federal and state excise taxes.
- Analyze production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Utilize Net Suite software for financial management and operations.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Forecast and plan future financial activities for the company.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the wine industry.
- Extensive experience managing multiple entities and complex financial analysis.
- Proficiency in cost accounting and general ledger management.
- Experience with insurance renewals and federal/state excise taxes.
- Proficiency in using Net Suite or equivalent financial management software.
- Strong forecasting abilities and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
