Position: Mortgage Loan Coordinator I (Construction Loans)

Mortgage Loan Coordinator I (Construction Loans)

You are a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional who enjoys helping members through the mortgage lending process.
You are organized, adaptable, and comfortable handling both member-facing service and behind-the-scenes loan support tasks in a fast-paced financial environment.

Location: Napa, California (TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT)

This Position Pays: $24.00 – $31.00 per hour (DOE)

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for mortgage lending members, including walk-ins, phone inquiries, and referrals
  • Intake and processing of new mortgage loan applications in the loan fulfillment system
  • Collecting and verifying required documentation (income, assets, and supporting files)
  • Monitoring and following up on incomplete loan files and member requests
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance notices (e.g., Reg B, credit denial letters, credit score disclosures)
  • Managing electronic loan files, including uploading and organizing documentation
  • Coordinating communication between branches, loan officers, and processing teams
  • Handling departmental email inboxes and distributing documents appropriately
  • Assisting with employment verification tasks (WVOE/VVOE)
  • Cross-selling credit union products and services when appropriate

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of office, administrative, or customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency with PC systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (SAFE Act compliance)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse members, vendors, and internal teams
