Under general direction, the Defensible Space Inspector is responsible for coordinating and conducting defensible space inspections, assisting with the presentation of educational programs to the public, and maintaining records and data on defensible space inspections. The Defensible Space Inspector is characterized by the responsibility to assist the Fire Marshal in support fire prevention activities and other related work.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill several extra help vacancies assisting Napa County Fire. The Defensible Space Inspector vacancy is not a full-time position. This vacancy is for a seasonal position with limited benefits.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE ANDEDUCATION:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:
Experience:Three (3) months of experience in forestry, fire prevention, fire suppression and control, natural resource management, or closely related field.
Education:Equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma.
License or Certificate*:- Possession of a valid CA Driver's License is desirable.
* Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
