Light House for the Blind and Visually Impaired operates several social enterprises, including a 311‑acre campgrounds facility. The Janitorial Associate supports the Facilities, Engineering, and Maintenance divisions by maintaining cleanliness, performing maintenance tasks, and providing customer‑driven support to building operations.
Qualifications- Must be eligible to operate company vehicles and be cleared through the Motor Vehicle Record Process before offer.
- Possess a valid California Driver’s license.
- High School diploma or comparable experience.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience in housekeeping, janitorial, recycling, or grounds maintenance.
- Volunteer or work experience with adults with disabilities is required; experience in a community setting is preferred.

- Provide support for all company events involving janitorial and event setup.
- Conduct exterior sweeping and power washing to maintain building assets.
- Perform all housekeeping tasks promptly and properly: making beds, emptying trash, replacing towels and linens, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, resetting rooms for the next guest, and reporting maintenance items to the maintenance team.
- Plunge toilets, clean restrooms, and replace toilet paper as needed.
- Collect all trash, including dog refuse collection bins.
- Maintain drinking water stations and clean trash bins on property.
- Handle laundry supplies and clean spills.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; clean windows and perform high and low dusting.
- Occasionally perform computer‑intensive work and operate standard office equipment.
- Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Clean a minimum of 20 rooms each week.
- Stock and clean all public restrooms daily.
- Deep‑clean all large meeting buildings as a team every other week (e.g., Mayacamas Hall, Forest Commons Hall, Kiva, Hogan, Hillside Commons, Bathhouse, Blindness Training Center).
