Position Summary:
The Digital ABG Digicon Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining our ABG Digicon machine, ensuring the precise and high-quality finishing of custom labels for our clients. You will oversee key finishing processes, including laminating, foiling, varnishing, and die-cutting, while performing regular machine setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in digital printing and finishing, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality products that meet client specifications.
Responsibilities:- Operate the ABG Digicon machine to perform finishing processes such as laminating, foiling, varnishing, die-cutting, and embossing on printed labels.
- Set up the Digicon machine according to job specifications, adjusting settings to ensure precise and high-quality output.
- Utilize the ERP system to track down the production/downtime of the machine.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure all labels meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, material jams, or inconsistencies in label production.
- Monitor production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Collaborate with prepress, HP operators, quality teams, and production teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the process.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification in printing technology or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the printing or packaging industry.
