Job Overview

Charge RN – Surgery located at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Napa, CA. Full-time position with 8-hour evening shifts from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.

The Operating Room Charge RN provides clinical leadership and operational oversight of daily surgical services while maintaining direct patient‑care responsibilities as a circulating nurse across all surgical specialties. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant perioperative care delivery, balancing real‑time operational coordination with hands‑on intraoperative nursing practice.

Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight of daily surgical services, coordinate perioperative care, manage intra‑operative nursing practice, and maintain direct patient care across all surgical specialties.

• Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • National Provider BLS certification – American Heart Association (upon hire).
  • California Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certificate – NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Circulating experience in the Operating Room.
  • BSN.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of recent OR experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in circulating across multiple surgical specialties.
  • Charge or leadership experience.
  • CNOR certification.
