Surgical Services Registered Nurse Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleDay Shift: 5x8-Hour schedule (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)
Job DescriptionThe Surgical Services Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic operating room environment. The role encompasses a range of responsibilities including preoperative and postoperative care, as well as assisting with various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
Responsibilities- Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties, including General, Urology, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro, and Robotics.
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the surgical process and recovery.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and functioning properly prior to operations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical nursing experience required.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred certifications: NBSTSA and relevant surgical specialty certifications.
- Experience with Community Hospital settings and various surgical procedures is preferred.
