Job Description

Join our team as a Food Runner and be an integral part of service excellence for our guests in Bear. Deliver food and beverage to the guests’ tables as assigned according to restaurant specifications, courteously and efficiently. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. Provide quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of dining room layout.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
  • Deliver food in accordance with Restaurant standards of service.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Learn and effectively use P.O.S. system and manual systems.
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.
  • Complete all opening side duties as assigned.
  • Organize the assigned station and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival.
  • Review daily specials and maintain awareness of 86’d items throughout the shift.
  • Make all varieties of coffee in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Retrieve all food orders from the Kitchen and place on trays in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Retrieve all beverage orders from the Bar and place on trays in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Understand and anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly.
  • Acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities.
  • Handle guest complaints following the four step procedure and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Complete closing side duties as assigned.
  • Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to manager.
  • Attend menu training, pre-shifts and other required meetings as scheduled.

The starting range for this position is $17.40. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Food & Beverage service
  • Experience in table service & positioning
  • Responsible Beverage Service training certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR certification
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Prior experience with P.O.S. system.
