Overview
Work in Paradise! Join the team of the Napa Valley Wine Train. This historic, luxurious, and iconic experience has been a staple in Napa’s Wine Country for over 30 years. As a Line Cook II you’re part of this iconic history.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook for guests on various train experiences including legacy, lunch, and dinner trains, as well as seasonal experiences and private events.
- Provide excellent fine‑dining service with friendly, energetic, and professional personality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen while ensuring food safety standards.
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced, small‑space environment aboard a moving train.
- Must be able to provide documentation to legally work in the United States.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with the industry’s best practices.
- Culinary school diploma is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a small space, fast‑paced environment, and on a moving train.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be available for day or evening, holiday, and weekend shifts.
- Serve Safe (or ability to obtain certification).
- Speak and read English – minimum requirement.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
$20.50‑$23.00 per hour (plus gratuity)
