Reports To: Market Manager / Director of Retail

MARKET at Carneros Resort and Spa is a sophisticated general store that provides guests with a curated selection of gourmet food and beverages. Whether it's preparing for a picnic, grabbing a snack for their cottage, or enjoying a quick meal before exploring the Napa Valley, our guests experience a blend of exceptional service and luxury hospitality.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated full time Market Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of Market at Carneros Resort and Spa. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and supporting the Market Manager and Director of Retail in achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in retail or store supervision.

• Supervise daily store operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
• Monitor and lead team performance, provide training, coaching, and feedback
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing personalized service and expert product recommendations.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and visually appealing retail space that reflects Carneros Resort and Spa’s luxury standards.
• Assist in managing stock levels, inventory accuracy, and product displays
• Open or close the store, including handling cash and balancing registers
• Support with scheduling, delegation of tasks, and enforcing company policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both staff and customers
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner
• Ensure all products and displays align with Carneros Resort and Spa’s branding and luxury image.
• Collaborate with the Market Manager and Director of Retail to meet sales targets and store objectives
• Monitor compliance with health and safety standards and regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or retail certification is a plus
• Proven experience in a retail, supermarket, or general store environment
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and problem‑solving abilities
• Basic proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Capability to navigate the resort’s expansive property as applicable
