Senior Art Consultant; management potential — Napa, CA

Overview

Serge Sorokko Gallery () is seeking a Senior Art Consultant for its Napa locations. This is a sales-focused position with management potential for the right candidate.

• Close sales in-gallery with walk-in visitors, active prospects, and existing collectors, maintaining a professional and consultative approach.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including client discovery, artwork presentations, proposals, invoicing/payment follow-up, and coordination of shipping or delivery.
• Represent the gallery in Napa Valley by building and maintaining relationships and referral partnerships with interior designers, architects, hotel concierges, wineries, and other key local networks.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow-up schedules; track pipeline activity and ensure timely follow-through.
• Uphold excellent standards of gallery presentation and visitor experience across both Napa locations.
• Support exhibition openings and occasional private appointments, including evenings and weekends as needed.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
• Proven track record of success in art sales or related field sales, with demonstrated closing ability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; polished, confident, and discreet with high-net-worth clients.
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for post-war and contemporary art.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; reliable follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Salary plus commission; salary commensurate with experience.
