Design Consultant – North Bay - Napa, Concord, Livermore CA

Generate revenue by driving and managing profitable sales of leading brands and services. Work closely with big box retail partners and their shop‑at‑home program leads to close sales for custom shutters, blinds, and shades.

Assist consumers in selecting the best window covering solutions for their homes and facilitate the in‑home quoting and selling process.

• 85% conduct in‑home sales consultations and finalize sales by submitting orders.
• 10% work with big‑box retailers, educating and training staff; maintain relationships with field sales representatives and installers.
• 5% communication and planning.

Competitive base salary of $30,000; first 9 months include a $7,500 stipend. Eligibility for commissions per incentive plan. Plus comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan with 5% match, life and disability insurance, paid sick and vacation time, 11 paid holidays, one volunteer day, and a vehicle program. Compensation for commuting expenses. Paid on‑job training and product knowledge sessions.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; high school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year of related work experience preferred.
• May require local licensing.
• Inspiring and persuasive communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, multitasking, and prioritizing ability.
• Some experience in home color and love of interior design; prior window treatment experience a plus.
• Consumer expectations management in shop‑at‑home experience.
• Ability to assess job site and identify appropriate solutions.
• Proficient with MS Office, mobile devices, email, CRM, and learning new apps.
• Ability to take accurate measurements for quoting.
• Valid driver’s license required.
